Our staff

At Kwik Fit, our staff are at the heart of everything we do, that’s why we support and train our technicians to be the best in the industry.

At Kwik Fit we provide more hours of automotive training than anyone else in the industry. Over 4,500 members of Kwik Fit staff complete courses at our training centres each year where we provide 18,000 training days – that’s one whole week of training for every member of in-centre staff we employ.

With technical training centres across the UK, staff undergo fresh training courses year round to ensure they are providing the best possible service to our customers and are up-to-date with the latest developments in car maintenance and repair.

Certified ATA Technicians

ATA logo

The Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) is a national voluntary programme governed by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) which tests the current competence of individuals working in the retail motor industry, who are committed to delivering an ethical code of conduct.

Kwik Fit is an approved ATA test centre and there are ATA sessions running every month for Kwik Fit staff. All ATA accredited individuals must successfully pass a series of practical assessments and theory-based tests. Our training strategy includes a commitment for every one of our Service Technicians to achieve ATA accreditation.

All ATA accredited technicians are reassessed every three years in order to maintain their accreditation and to ensure they remain up-to-date with the latest developments in the automotive repair industry.

Master Technicians

Kwik Fit Master Technicians are specialists in their field and trained to leading industry standards.

They are responsible for diagnosing and resolving the most challenging and time-sensitive problems on today’s modern vehicles. They are able to examine vehicles to determine malfunctions using the appropriate automotive technology and diagnostic equipment.

Master technicians can carry out advanced diagnosis and repair on the following:

  • Diagnostic systems
  • Vehicle sensors
  • Electrical faults and repairs
  • Advanced brake repairs
  • Ignition systems
  • Steering issues

As well as being equipped with more sophisticated Bosch diagnostic equipment, they are available at a time to suit you at your local servicing centre.
