Volkswagen Transporter Service
Volkswagen's Transporter range has a long history dating back to the T1 series - used more for transporting people for leisure than transporting goods. More modern Transporters, however, are used by a variety of drivers for a variety of reasons: from light goods vehicles to sturdy camper conversions.
Regardless of how you use your Transporter, regular servicing will ensure that you're not left tending to your van on your way to your next adventure.
Servicing your Volkswagen Transporter
When you rely on your van to get you around, you don't want to be caught by a sudden breakdown.
As a minimum, we recommend that drivers have their vans serviced at least once every 12 months (or 12,000 miles, if sooner) with a Full Service. This checks everything from electrical safety to full brake system inspections, while also replacing things such as oil and oil filters. It's a great way to keep your Transporter humming - and it also helps to maintain its resale value when you're done adventuring!
For those who use their Transporters daily, or even those just looking for peace of mind, we recommend an Interim Service every 6 months (or 6,000 miles). This covers most of the same checks but is more of a spring clean on your Transporter's systems, than the Full Service.

Why not combine with an MOT?
Why not put MOT stress aside by combining your upcoming MOT with a service at your local Kwik Fit garage?
Our fully trained mechanics will run through all the necessary tweaks, cleans, and checks - as well as flag up any potential problems - before putting your van through the MOT test. It's a great way to be able to plan repairs around your schedule, as well as keep MOT failures off your vehicle's record.
Volkswagen Manufacturer Servicing
New and Approved Used Transporters are usually covered by a manufacturer warranty from Volkswagen. This can come in really handy in the event of a part failure due to a manufacturer error.
Improper maintenance, however, is likely to void any warranties you may have on your Transporter. So opt for Manufacturer Servicing at your local Kwik Fit centre - our technicians then go through all maintenance work in the specific ways outlined by Volkswagen for maintaining warranties. It also frees you from often-overpriced dealership services!
