Europe’s Top Road Trips: The Scenic Edit
Kwik Fit | Tuesday 13th March 2018 10:31am
As the warmer months gradually start coming into sight, it’s time to start planning holidays, city breaks and your next long weekend away. Hopping on a plane to somewhere hot and exotic is always exciting and super speed trains lines make travelling even more accessible than ever. However here at Kwik Fit, we have a soft spot for the good old fashioned road trip and want to reintroduce it as one of the most incredible ways to explore. When you’re thousands of feet high in the sky or whizzing past on a rail track, it can be tricky to take in the sights, which is why hitting the road is our favourite way to travel.
Europe is home to some of the most iconic drives the world has to offer and in our latest eBook, we’re exploring six of the most scenic routes. We’re covering the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse in Austria, the German Route 500, Norway’s hair-raising Trollstigen, the Irish Ring of Kerry, Iceland’s famous Route One and the road from Spoleto to Norcia in Italy. For each drive we have top tips on when is best to travel there, nearest airports, must-see stops along the way and the best type of vehicle for the job.
Not only are we taking a look at some of the most scenic road trips in Europe, we’re also offering our own tips and advice on how to best prepare your vehicle before any long journey. From keeping your tyres in tip top condition by making sure your tyre tread and air pressure is adequate before setting off to ensuring you’ve got The 3 B’s covered (bulbs, batteries and balancing). In the eBook we’ve also put together our recommended list of road trip essentials to make sure you have all of the basics packed for navigating the picturesque routes of Europe. From deicer and an ice scraper to travel sickness remedies and a first aid kit, we’ve thought about it all so you don’t have to.
