Ladies Car Care Evenings Prove A Hit
Kwik Fit | Monday 13th January 2014 12:00pm
Last year Kwik Fit conducted research that revealed that nearly two thirds of female motorists (64%) do not feel comfortable about visiting a garage for repairs, servicing or car checks with a quarter saying that they avoid going to a garage on their own. In response to this research we have created 'Ladies in The Driving Seat' which are free events hosted at our Kwik Fit centres by our trained technicians. The aim of 'Ladies in the Driving Seat' is to offer women the chance to learn a bit more about their car, and as a result, feel more comfortable if they ever need to go a garage.
Craig Hoad, centre manager at our Kwik Fit Plus site in Slough ran an event for a local community group of 36 ladies back in January of this year, the group organiser Aksa Marshal said: "It was excellent. Some of us didn't even know how to open the bonnet, so it was really helpful! We were shown all of the basics of car maintenance and then had a quiz at the end of the session."
This is just one of a number of Ladies in the Driving Seat events being carried out at Kwik Fit centres across the country with many more planned. For more information regarding these events or to organise one in your local area please visit our Ladies Car Care page or e-mail ladiescarcare@kwik-fit.com
